서대문 폴리어학원은 영어영재들을 이끌어 가기 위한 영어학원으로 운영되고 있습니다. 유치부와 초등부 어린이를 중심으로 귀국학생들이 해외에서 습득한 문화와 언어능력을 유지 시켜주고, 또한 국내에서 다년간의 영어교육을 통해 언어능력이 상위그룹인 학생들을 대상으로 미국교과서 과정을 학습하여 단기간 내에 영어 언어능력을 향상시키는 교육이 이루어지고 있습니다.

Children today are amazing. They are brighter, more creative, more knowledgeable, and more sophisticated than ever before. I am thrilled that I will be working with such special and talented students in this area. I would like to start building Seodaemun POLY as a place where special students have the opportunity to expose themselves in learning English. I think of our school as not just a place where children learn English, but a place where care about students and parents.

Motivation is the key to learning and teaching. I believe depends on good teachers, they can inspire passion for learning in their students. However, even if good teachers motivate them in classes, we cannot plan for effective instruction until we know where they are, where you want them to go, and how you want to get there. For that reason, POLY learning curriculums and POLY Language Amplitude Test (PLAT) will help our motto of giving effective planning, teaching, and learning. PLAT will give students and parents a profile or report on student achievement. And with student input and ownership, assessment can even motivate students to perform and produece.

I hope we, Seodaemun POLY, develop a positive learning culture in the classroom and increase students’ academic and social strength at the same time. At home, parents can encourage and help motivate your children foster a good attitude toward English and work.

Neurobiologists have suggested that a child’s learning window for languages is from birth to 10 years of age. During these times environmental influences have the greatest impact on development and learning. Therefore, making a right decision for your child is very important role as parents. I believe POLY is the place where children learn and prosper in a caring, English-oriented environment.
