"Engineering problem-solving skills, patent legal work skills, and global capabilities"
I majored in mechanical engineering, have knowledges related to electrical material production processes, and learned for 3D modeling and simulation programs such as NX, Creo, Adams, and Ansys. I developed cultural exchange capabilities, including English, while serving in the military as a KATUSA. With these abilities, I was able to participate in various collaborative projects with overseas universities.
In the first project, developing for electric vehicle modular platform, conducted with students from OOOO OOOOOO in Germany, I was in charged of designing and simulating a thermal management system that can integrate and manage heat generated from components such as batteries and motors. With this opportunity, I could be selected for the design engineering training course in my university and participated in the second project with OOOOOOOO OOOO and OOOO OOOOOO. I was in charged of designing and simulating for the vehicle structural in this project and made a final presentation on behalf of all students at the OOOO Smart Mobility Symposium ‘Bridging the Grids’ in OOOOOOO. With these opportunities, I could have an opportunity for the exchange student program to OOOO OOOOOO in Germany in the last semester.
I prepared for the patent attorney test for a total of 3 years and 6 months and passed the first exam in 2020. By studying patent law, contract law, and litigation law etc., I understood the legal value of intellectual property, which is the product of R&D, and I was able to experience the ecosystem of the IP transaction market indirectly.
I have an ability to solve engineering problems necessary for product quality control and development, communication skills necessary for cooperation with experts from other nationalities or other fields, and work ability to express engineers' engineering expressions in legal administrative languages. Using these capabilities, I would like to work as a reliable member of DuPont Korea, which will lead the global electrical material market through constant technological innovation.
