Hello! We are Teddies International Academy (TIA). We are looking for a few English teachers to help us change the way this world views education. TIA is run by husband-and-wife duo, Calvin Yeager and Sunny Kim. Calvin, a foreign teacher whose career has spanned over twelve years in Korea, understands the difficulties of working in a foreign country and looks to help his fellow teachers acclimate themselves and further develop their teaching strategies. Sunny Kim, A specialist in early childhood education, is dedicated to creating a classroom experience tailored to the needs of individual students.
Currently TIA is still a young start-up company, with ten students in total. There are currently six Kindergarteners, and four Pre-K students. This aspect, coupled with short forty-minute classes provide a perfect environment for a teacher to experiment and develop their specific teaching style and strategy. Adaptation is the name of the game. While we will provide books and ample amounts of teaching material, the teachers are free to add and adjust their lesson plans to fit the educational needs of our students.
In the same way, we hope to adapt to the strengths and needs of our teachers. They are as important as the students to the directors of TIA. We recognize TIA`s teachers as valuable allies who share our educational vision. Therefore, we operate TIA with the hope that it will not only be a place for students, but also a place where teachers, like students, can develop their individual capabilities and pioneer their own future.
