IT Strategy & Planning Team Sr. Manager

 

◆ EMPLOYMENT TYPE:

◆ LOCATION: 

Seoul (Head Office) 

  

◆ POSITION SUMMARY 

- IT Strategy & Planning Team Sr. Manager is responsible for managing the team

  and establishing AXA Korea’s IT strategy, leading project management, 

  overseeing IT budget & spending and IT governance management



 ◆ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

        •        
                  IT strategy & roadmap management

  - Lead the development of IT strategic plan in collaboration with 

    other business divisions and key stakeholders in the organization 

  - Manage initiatives aligning with IT strategy

  - Ensure that IT strategic plan is aligned with the organization’s 

    business objectives and goals

  - Collaborate with other Biz/IT teams to ensure that the strategic plan is integrated

    into their respective areas of responsibility

  - Keep up-to-date with the latest IT trends, technologies and best practices

    to ensure that IT strategic plan remains relevant and effective 


  •        IT initiatives and portfolio/project demand management 

 - Manage the implementation of IT strategic plan, including identifying 

   and prioritizing initiatives

 - Facilitate and lead Transformation Committee for project approval and key decisions

 - Manage project portfolio of projects to ensure they are delivered on time, 

   within budget and meet the desired quality standards


  •       Project management

- Develop and implement project management processes and procedures 

  to ensure consistency and quality in project delivery

- Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals 

  in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders

- Prepare and develop detailed project plan including timelines, budgets,

  resources allocation, and risk management plans 

- Monitor project execution and track the progress against established timelines,

  budgets and quality standards and take corrective action as necessary 

- Communicate project progress and status to stakeholders and senior management 

- Ensure compliance with project management standards and best practices 


  •       IT financial management

- Develop IT investment/operating budget yearly and update as per finance guidance

- Develop and review contract management 

  (vendor selection/ bidding/ inspection/ payment)


  •       IT governance management

- Approval/progress reporting/KPI reporting to the Transformation committee,

  the project decision-making body

- Managing & reinforcing IT governance framework (IT strategy, Delivery, 

  Operation, Monitoring and Management)

- Reflecting operational and project lessons-learned in IT governance to reinforce  


  •       Respond to internal and external audits by providing appropriate documentations


  •       IT capability/people management

- Develop IT resource planning as per IT strategy and projects working with 

  other team managers 

- Manage a team of IT professionals providing guidance and direction 

  on the development and implementation of IT strategic plan

- Team goal setting and performance management

- Performance management communication and coaching



◆ REQUIREMENTS:


[Educational Background]

Bachelor’s degree or above 

- Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration 

  or related field major preferred

 

[Experience]

More than 10 years of experience in IT strategic planning, 

  including experience in managing team 

- PMP certificate holder preferred


[Knowledge/Skill/Ability] 

- More than 10 years of experience in IT strategic planning, 

  including experience in managing team 

- Experience in strategy formulation for insurance business

- Strong leadership and team management skills including the ability 

  to motivate and inspire team members

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decision

- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex ideas

  to variety of audiences 

- Ability to work with stakeholders to document and communicate the value 

  created by new capabilities and processes

- Knowledge of IT governance frameworks and methodologies such as COBIT and ITIL

- Familiarity with enterprise architecture principles and frameworks such as TOGAF

- Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall

- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems and applications

- Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders in the organization

- Fluency in both spoken and written English
