GENERAL INFORMATION

Position Title: Chief Information Office/Head of IT, General Insurance

 

OVERALL KEY POSITION OBJECTIVE

The primary objective of the CIO is to drive the strategy and implementation of a company-wide information technology programs while protecting the business from disruption and vulnerabilities. The candidate will be a leader from an entrepreneurial large company who has successfully led the charge in transforming business units, integrations of acquisitions and provided solid platform for business to run within a growth-oriented framework. The successful candidate will engage and collaborate with customers, partners, stakeholders, employees, and executives on all technology related matters.

The CIO must be a leader in the field with sound knowledge of information security practices, organization, and technologies. The position will work closely and proactively with operation related affiliate to define policies, practices, and solutions, and to implement within the context of the business strategy and operations in line with local standard as well as global guideline.

An excellent candidate must have a solid IT background and consistently keep up to date with advancements within financial sector like banking, insurance, fintech, etc. Apart from their education and experience, they must have every quality of a leader and a strong strategic and business acumen.

The goal is to ensure that information technology adds the maximum value to our company to facilitate the success of our business transformation and innovation.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.        Orchestrate the design and execution of IT security operations, IT systems, and the overarching governance framework that governs general insurance business operation.

2.        Lead the technology organization, work with executive stake holders and be the sought-out counsel by the business, employees, information technology and 3rd party stakeholders.

3.        Select and implement suitable technology to streamline all internal operations and help optimize their strategic benefits.

4.        Design and customize technological systems and platforms to improve customer experience.

5.        Plan the implementation of new systems and provide guidance to IT professionals and other staff within the organization.

6.        Manage and Optimize IT Cost and Budge.

7.        Oversee the technological infrastructure (networks and computer systems) in the organization to ensure optimal performance.

8.       Manage technology integrations for all acquisitions with clear rollout and timed targets for completion.

9.        Direct and organize IT-related projects.

10.     Monitor changes or advancements in technology to discover ways the company can gain competitive advantage.

11.      Analyze the costs, value, and risks of information technology to advise management and suggest actions.

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

1.        Minimum of 15 years of experience in a combination of information security, information technology, engineering, risk management with at least 5-7 years in a technology leadership role.

2.        Strong knowledge of infrastructure technologies, and relevant information security technologies.

3.        Proven ability to manage multiple, large, cross-functional teams or projects, and influencing senior level management and key stakeholders.

4.        Proven experience in corporate project managements and Industry experience preferred in general insurance.

5.        Strong interpersonal communication, management and teamwork capabilities.

6.        Fluent level of English (writing & speaking) communication with global team.

7.        BS degree in Computer Science or related field.
