Control/Automation Engineer

Provide engineering services within a predefined scope individually or as a team member. Capable of and/or being assigned to multiple tasks of a project including specification, programming, testing, field commissioning, and technical training. Projects range over a variety of processes in pharmaceutical industry.

Essential Functions:

·       Apply Programmable Logic Controller (Siemens primarily and other PLC) and Human Machine Interface (HMI primarily Siemens WinCC) programming.

·       Experience with control engineering and applied experience in programming and troubleshooting of Simatic manager Step 7 software or TIA portal for S7-300 or S7-1500 PLCs

·       Vision: Primarily Cognex and Omron

·       Motion Control: Primarily Siemens Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi would be an asset

·       Robot Programming: ABB, Motoman, GE Fanuc, Kawasaki would be an asset

·       AutoCAD

·       Safety Systems design and program: Pilz, Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Omron

·       Must be knowledgeable with ladder logic, STL, and FB as used in Siemens S7.

·       Must be able to follow P&ID’s and architect a solution for control and data for process industries.

·       Experience in Pharmaceutical industry is a plus

·       Knowledge of plant Historians and reporting tools

·       Read and understand project related drawings.

·       Any working knowledge of developing HMI or SCADA applications is a plus

·       Working knowledge of Siemens WinCC Platform is a plus

·       Any working knowledge of developing .NET applications is a plus

·       Any working knowledge of SQL databases is a plus

·       Provide Unit, Module and Factory Acceptance Testing.

·       Generate GAMP 5 documents (URS, FDS, DDS, and validation protocols)

·       Participate in and lead Startup and Commissioning of large projects at the customer site.
