Key Responsibilities

1. Perform routine maintenance on railway component systems mainly gearboxes and couplers.
2. Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and address them proactively.
3. Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
4. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during maintenance activities.

 
 
Troubleshooting and Repairs:

1. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with railway equipment and systems.
2. Execute timely and effective repairs to minimize service disruptions.
3. Maintain accurate records of repairs, replacements, and maintenance activities.

 
Field Service Support:

1. Respond to service calls and emergencies promptly.
2. Conduct on-site assessments and collaborate with other teams to resolve issues efficiently.
3. Provide technical support to field personnel and ensure proper implementation of maintenance procedures.

 
Documentation and Reporting:

1. Prepare detailed reports on maintenance activities, including findings, solutions implemented, and future recommendations.
2. Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory and maintenance history.

 
Collaboration:

1. Work closely with other departments, including engineering, operations, and safety, to ensure seamless railway service.
2. Collaborate with external vendors and contractors as needed.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor`s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. (NOT Mandatory)
2. Previous experience in railway maintenance or a similar field.
3. Strong understanding of railway systems, equipment, and safety standards.
4. Technical proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing railway components.
5. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Willingness to work in a field-based environment and respond to emergencies outside regular working hours.
