The ASML Export Control and Customs Classification (EC&CC) team is expanding its footprint in export control and customs classifications into Asia as we are preparing ourselves for an interesting and challenging era growing today’s company into and beyond 50bEUR company.  Are you the person that wants to be part of this challenge? In your role as Classification Specialist you are part of the classification team and work in an international environment with a presence on three continents. Correct export control and customs classifications, screened and approved business transactions and therefore a compliant supply chain is not only essential to enable the ASML organization to meet the commitments we made to our customers, but compliance is also considered to be one of the core values within ASML.


Responsibilities: 


Job will be located in South Korea and the successful candidate is expected to work with limited supervision from the US.

As a classifications specialist you will be:


- Performing customs and export control classification;

- Determining country of origin for both preferential and non-preferential purposes;

- Handling Sanctioned Parties List and Legal Control screening blocks in SAP GTS;

- Maintaining and improving the master classification database;

- Functioning as the go-to person in case of classification related questions from the authorities and/or internal stakeholders;

- Support the business and participate in different projects such as the implementation of a new ERP system

- Identify and implement process improvements (for example via robotizing)


Education & Experience


- Bachelor`s Degree in physics or engineering or relevant majors

- Have a minimum of 5 years relevant (technical) experience in Customs and Export Controls classification within a multinational, law firm, technology or a consulting company

- Licensed customs broker (KR broker exam) is preferred, but not mandatory

- Experience with SAP ECC and SAP GTS is preferred

- Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment and in multi-cultural teams

- Candidates with a technical background and the ambition to learn the customs and export control classification rules and regulation, are invited to apply for this job as well
