Responsibilities 

You will be responsible for the projects in your portfolio, ensuring that they are delivered on time, to budget and to the required safety and quality standards. You will ensure that the projects are efficiently resourced and effectively handle relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and back office. You will guide and encourage members of the project team to develop their skills and competencies. You will effectively ensure that learning points from projects are communicated toother projects and thereby contribute to profitable and fruitful knowledge-sharing.

As Senior Project Manager, you should be able to handle projects with added complexities, e.g. introduction of a new turbine, new market, inexperienced team, added scope.

You will also be responsible for:

ㆍDay-to-day communication and alignment with the customer;

ㆍEncouraging the project team and others in continuous improvements;

ㆍImplementing and adhering to Vestas` management systems;

ㆍEnsuring effective project planning and control;

ㆍContinuous monitoring of project progress, budget and performance;

ㆍHandling the work of sub-contractors, allocating and utilising resources in an efficient manner and maintaining a cooperative and ideal project team;

ㆍPerforming risk management to minimise project risks;

ㆍCreating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation and ensuring that all reporting requirements are met on time and to the required quality.

Qualifications 

ㆍRelevant education (e.g. Engineering or Contractual background, Project Manager education or similar);

ㆍKnowledge about the Stage Gate model;

ㆍProduct understanding and awareness;

ㆍ5-8 years experience from similar industry and from large scale projects preferred;

ㆍRisk Management competences;

ㆍCommercial insight;

ㆍContractual as well as technical understanding;

ㆍAwareness of cultural diversity.
