Main purpose of job

Marketing specialists help execute, and monitor marketing programs. Their work includes researching the market, analysing trends to help define the organization`s marketing strategy, and providing advice as to how to best reach the target market. Depending on the role, marketing specialists may also help with the coordination of events such as trade shows or conferences.

 

Marketing specialists almost always have a bachelor’s degree, usually in marketing, business, communications, or a related field. Typically, marketing specialists have great communication and project management skills, and an ability to analyze data and identify trends.

 

Reporting line

-          Line Manager: S. KOREA Marketing Manager

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and track marketing programs such as email, social media, or digital campaigns, and events.
  • Collaborate with other internal teams (e.g., product and sales) to develop and monitor strategic marketing initiatives.
  • Analyze and report on the performance and efficiency of campaigns.
  • Translate and review marketing materials, such as sales and product collateral, and ensure brand guidelines are met.
  • Work with external agencies and vendors to execute marketing programs.

·         Marketing activities within the region ? planning, promoting and executing exhibitions, conferences, etc.

·         Monitor and critically appraise competitor-marketing activities within region.

 

Impact

·            Impacts on growth of business in Korea.

·            Enhancement of brand in the territory.

·            Impacts professional image of Malvern Panalytical.

·            Impacts Malvern`s ability to provide support to customers and

·            Impacts customer satisfaction.

 

Accountability

·         Works closely with Manager and stakeholders to implement the specific strategy to drive Malvern Panalytical’s business.

·         Reporting on a regular basis the marketing Manager.

·         Operates within the overall policy of the company and keeps within its written rules.

 

Communication

Customer Communication

·         Daily verbal and written communication with potential and existing customers.

·         To handle with promptness, patience and accuracy all the telephone, fax and written communications with our suppliers as required.

 

Internal Communication

·         Regular communication Manager, other members of S. Korea Marketing/Inside Sales team, Field Sales and Applications Teams, Customer Support.

Required knowledge, skills and experience:

Education

·            Must hold a university degree preferably in a science subject.

·            Should hold a professional qualification in marketing.

 

Skills / Experience / Knowledge / Capabilities

·            2 or more years of relevant marketing experience of B to B marketing, preferably in the analytical instrumentation field or broad/varied industry exposure in multiple markets is desirable. 

·            This will almost always require an understanding of the physical sciences.

·            Korean native speaker but fluent in English.

·            Exposure to digital marketing practices across SEO/SEM (Google AdWords), virtual event hosting platforms (ie Webex), and email systems (ie Pardot) would be ideal.

·            Ability to write reports and conduct data analysis.
