Job title: Senior IT Specialist I, Korea

Location: Dongtan, Korea

Structure/reporting line: Reports to the Regional IT Manager, North Asia IT

 

Position summary:

The Senior IT Specialist I in Korea will provide leadership, coaching, and support to the KR IT team, ensuring the delivery of IT services and support to ASM Korea users.

The role involves maintaining a stable, cost-effective, and secure IT environment, delivering quality, timely, and cost-efficient maintenance, and supporting the modernization of technology to meet business demands in a cost-effective manner.

The responsibilities encompass all aspects of operations for computer, network, communications, hardware, and software infrastructure technologies, as well as data center and helpdesk management located in Korea offices.

 

Key responsibilities:

- Lead day-to-day KR IT operations and ensure Service Level Agreements/Service Level Objectives are met.

- Ensure smooth and efficient functioning of KR IT infrastructure (servers, networks, software, peripheral equipment) by troubleshooting problems.

- Provide support and guidance to stakeholders via the help desk.

- Collaborate with other teams to identify needs, monitor performance, and diagnose and resolve network and systems issues in Korea.

- Develop, review, implement, and support solutions to ensure systems and processes align with the Global IT strategy.

- Ensure that ASM Global IT policies and procedures are up to date and compliant with industry standards and regulations.

- Work closely and cooperate with ASM Global IT infrastructure and network teams for operations, implementation, execution, scheduled upgrades, and projects.

- Evaluate and implement new technologies and systems that improve IT infrastructure and support ASM`s business goals.

- Act as the lead for Korea IT matters in the absence of the North Asia IT Manager.

- Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements:

- Bachelor`s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

- Minimum of 7 years of experience in an enterprise-wide IT support organization.

- Must have skills/experience in IT network infrastructure.

- Experience working in a global matrix organization.

- Hands-on experience in PC kitting, user support, data center/server room management, infrastructure troubleshooting, and local vendor management.

- Intermediate knowledge of Windows PCs, Active Directory, Office 365, and Windows Servers.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Korean.

- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.

- Experience in IT systems for manufacturing engineering is an advantage.

- Knowledge and experience in Cloud Technology is an advantage.

- Proficiency with infrastructure devices, including switches, routers, wireless access points, controllers, and firewalls, is an advantage.
