Procurement Manager
DESCRIPTION: As a role that focuses on completing a project as efficiently
and promptly as possible, expect to see any of the following duties and
responsibilities:
- - Overall responsibilities with managing the
procurement department to meet the company’s targets on QESH, Cost,
Efficiency, On-time delivery, Inventory etc.
- -Take initiatives in company strategic planning
process, participate in developing company business strategies and action
plans with related of procurement and sourcing aspects
- -Uphold high level of personal integrity and
ensure business is conducted in ethical and compliant manner, especially
with regards to bribery, corruption, fraud and Supplier code of business
conduct.
- -Using of sourcing advantages to assist Company to
meet the market & competition challenges, eg of T&C, quality, cost
and swift delivery
- -Collaborating with Engg & production planning
to optimize the inventory structure by improving the material selection, planning
process & availability
- -Optimizing and improving processes and the
overall approach where necessary
- -Devise and develop sourcing strategy, Supply
chain & contract management
- -Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business
and organization partnerships
- -Vendor management to optimize of sourcing, T&C
and to minimize & mitigate of risks
- -Finalize and approve the ordering of necessary
goods and services
- -Track and report key functional metrics to reduce
expenses and improve effectiveness
- -Foresee alterations in the comparative
negotiating ability of suppliers and clients
- -Expect unfavorable events through analysis of
data and prepare control strategies
- -Control spend and build a culture of long-term
saving on procurement costs
- -Global sourcing tasks might be assigned by group
procurement
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Required 7 years’ experience
dedicated in this field and includes degrees in any of the following fields:
- -Proven working experience as a Procurement
Manager, Procurement Officer in manufacturing, sheet metal or related industrials
-Sourcing & Vendor management, Material control
& management
QUALIFICATIONS OR REQUIRED SKILLS: Should possess high
levels of the below skills to perform well in the role:
- -Fluent in written and spoken English
- -Comprehensive purchasing knowhow
- -Good knowledge of manufacturing practices; material
and production technology
- -Commodities knowledge/category cost drivers
(steel, etc.)
- -Solid strategic and analytical thinking skills
- -Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques
as well as a dexterity in “reading” the market
- -Good communication skills
- -Talent in negotiations and networking
- -Good knowledge of supplier or third party
management software
- -Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers
- -Strong leadership & team management capabilities
-degree in supply chain management, logistics or
business administration
