Evaluate piping stress analysis (using CAESAR II Software) with minimal supervision. (This work typically requires reviewing stress analysis done by other specialist but sometimes also requires developing the model for isometrics.) 

· Understand to pipe support component selection and pipe support design criteria and if needed to comment 

· Consult with Sub-Contracted Detail Design firms on piping layout engineering concerns. 

· Understand to Piping Stress reports and fabrication documentation and if needed to comment 

· Review 3D Model with detail design firms before 3D Model review considering project requirement and specification. 

· Lead 3D Model review meeting with Customer, UOP, and detail design company. 

· Attend site visits to provide clarification and interpretations of drawings and specifications and troubleshoot piping layout related issues 

· Participate in system design activities such as: 

    o P&ID / MFD development o Piping Material and Valve Specifications 

    o Piping Line Indices 

    o Fluid system hydraulic calculations 

    o Prepare requisitions for procurement of Piping Specialty items and pipe supports 

    o Involved in bid evaluation of requisitioned components 

    o Review and approve contractor documents and drawings 

    o Insulation thickness tables and specifications

자격요건

· Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical or Chemical Engineering and 8-10 years experience in the design and flexibility analysis of chemical plant or petroleum refinery piping systems.

· Knowledge and experience in using CAESAR II Stress analysis software, especially for high temperature application using expansion joints, spring hangers and other means of accommodating thermal expansion

· Knowledge and experience in using applicable codes such as: ASME B31.3, ASME B16.5 and ASME Sections I &VIII and API, ANSI, MSS etc
