The Business Development Manager position is directly responsible for retaining existing business and developing new business in assigned market segments in Korea.The BDM will primarily be measured by his/her achievement or over achievement of budgeted new business, cross selling revenue and retention of existing accounts. Gross profit targets as well as other related KPIs such as market share will also be set annually.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development
ㆍDrive sales revenue growth and expand key business opportunities.
ㆍDemonstrate knowledge and understanding of all clients and target markets within the identified customers.
ㆍKey target potential clients in the targeted business sector that we can develop new and account extension business by establishing a strategy to develop new sales opportunities.
ㆍDevelop an aggressive sales strategy and action plan to achieve monthly and annual sales & business targets for new, existing and renewal business.
ㆍDevelop Key Account Plans for all identified accounts.
ㆍFocus on building strong business relationships, both at the C-Level, as well as the operational level, to assist in increasing the yield per existing customer.
ㆍCreate a healthy and sustainable sales pipeline and ensure that the sales targets are met in the time period set within the pipeline.

ㆍProven experience in B2B consultative selling in a service related industry for 10+ years.
ㆍUnderstanding of insurance sales & marketing strategies with an established and expansive network in Korea insurance industry.
ㆍSkilled negotiator with good influencing skills. Good oral and written presentation skills are a must.
ㆍAssist in project management of new & account extension business to ensure customer requirements are exceeded.
ㆍRelationship building skills.
ㆍGood strategic thinker with strong planning and organization skills who has the experience to develop solutions by adopting a consultative sales approach.
ㆍComputer literate (MS Word, Excel, etc.)
