Imperial Tours now seeks an English-speaking Korean employee in Seoul with whom we can launch this new luxury leisure travel-focused service. As Imperial Tours already is well known in the market, you can expect to work from day 1 under the guidance of Nancy Kim with the most respected travel agents and clients in the North American, Latin American and European markets. You should expect business to be slow for the first few weeks, then ever busier likely resulting in the hiring of more staff and the establishment of an office within one to two years.


As the first employee of this new venture, you have an opportunity to prove yourself and grow with the company. We can offer good prospects for the right person.


What We Are Looking For

- You have at least a bachelor’s degree.

- You speak and write in both Korean and English with ease.

- You have past experience in a customer-facing role.

- You are based in or near Seoul

- You are as comfortable meeting new people outside the office as you are working long hours at a desk.

- You care about people and have worked in a service-related industry. 

- You are proud of South Korea, speak knowledgeably about it and want visitors to like it.

- You are familiar with a visitor’s cultural mindset

- You have good attention to detail. 


- You are intelligent and resourceful. When you are given something new to do, you will figure out for yourself
   how to do it.

- You are ambitious, want to do well and want to do a good job.

- You are interested in learning about the luxury leisure travel industry and exploring how Imperial Tours can
   help grow South Korea’s market share.


Based in Seoul and available from July 1, the role has three aspects ? booking, sales and operations.


Booking Aspect

- To help research, price and book:

   ㄴ Seoul vehicles and guides

   ㄴ DMCs in other destinations

   ㄴ Special Activities e.g. cooking lesson

   ㄴ Specialists e.g. historical tour

- To liaise over bill checking and bill payment

- To set up and adapt effective payment processes

- To follow up on feedback with partners and improve product quality


Sales Aspect

- To take a sales request from a client and, based on templates, to work this into a functioning itinerary;

- To effectively suggest further customization for clients’ itineraries e.g. suggesting value added services for clients;

- To revise itineraries as needed;

- To cost and price the itinerary, and take responsibility for those numbers;

- To liaise a final itinerary and price with the client;

- To draft all the required files needed internally to operate the tour flawlessly;

- To follow up on feedback with clients and company management and to adaptively improve processes for
   the future.


Operational Aspect

- To oversee and perform, as and when needed, the correct booking of all aspects of the tour prior to its operation;

- To oversee the booking process, as and when needed, e.g. deposit, full payment; communication with customers;

- To prepare company funds for the tour;

- To prepare and keep updated the various files for the tour;

- To function as the point of contact for tours for which you have responsibility; 

- To manage interactions with guests;

- To lobby for the successful completion of the tour within Imperial Tours

- To successfully operate tours;

- To successfully resolve problems;

- To take a role in the Crisis Management Team, in the event of an emergency.
