Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated individual to temporarily fill
the role of Indirect Procurement Supervisor during a one-year parental leave
absence. As a vital member of our Supply Chain Management (SCM) team, you will
be responsible for supporting the procurement of indirect goods and services
essential to our operations. Your primary duties will include assisting in
vendor management, contract negotiations, and sourcing activities to ensure
cost-effectiveness and quality standards are met. This role offers a unique
opportunity to contribute to the efficiency and success of our procurement
processes within a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Key responsibilities: 1.
Lead the
procurement process for indirect goods and services by selecting vendors,
negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with company regulations. 2.
Create
indirect purchase orders in SAP, update IPOs, send purchase orders to vendors,
and negotiate contracts with vendors. 3.
Collaborate
with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and align them with
organizational goals and budgetary constraints. 4.
Conduct
market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers, assess market
trends, and capitalize on opportunities for cost savings. 5.
Maintain
accurate records of procurement activities, including contracts, purchase
orders, and supplier performance evaluations. 6.
Monitor
and manage supplier relationships to ensure compliance with contractual
agreements and quality standards. 7.
Assist in
developing and implementing procurement strategies to optimize efficiency and
mitigate risks. 8.
Provide
regular updates and reports on procurement activities to management,
highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement. 9.
Stay
informed about industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to procurement
and incorporate relevant changes into procurement processes. Qualifications: ? Bachelor’s
degree or higher in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a
related field. ? 5 years or
more of proven experience in procurement, supply chain management, or related
fields, with a focus on Indirect/direct supplier management. ?
Strong
analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques. ?
Excellent
negotiation and contract management abilities. ?
In-depth
knowledge of procurement best practices, regulations, and industry trends.
