[JOB PURPOSE]
 The Economic Model Manager is responsible for the development, maintenance and general oversight of the overall economic/financial model for the project, the performance of related economic / financial (sensitivity) analysis and preparation of statements, presentations and other relevant reports.


[ACCOUNTABILITIES, RESPONSIBILITES AND MAIN TASKS]
 This Role&Position will be the focal point for the modelling and valuation of all projects OW is developing in Korea working in coordination with the M&A Corporate departments of OW and other partner companies.


  • - Overall responsible for building and updating the economic model for the project and ensure the model’s accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations while continuously enhancing the model’s quality.
  • - Prepare the Project Economic Model Management Plan and develop the processes, work instructions and KPI`s required to ensure efficient delivery of the analysis and reports. During execution of the project, suggest improvements to the plan.
  • - Assess the business risks and support decision making by conducting multiple scenario analysis based on microeconomic and macroeconomic factors.
  • Perform project financial valuations, using different methods. Liaison with and obtain input from relevant Project Team members in order to develop and keep up-to-date the economic model.
  • - Ensure all risks, opportunities and uncertainties that are identified (and recorded in the project risk register), analysis and the potential impact considered in the economic model.
  • - Provide regular reports and communicate the results of the economic model analysis to the relevant members of the project (management) team.
  • - Perform all the economic analysis required by the sponsors companies to support the internal approval process.
  • - Continuous interaction with OW Corporate and with financial modelling teams of equity partners.
  • - Support implementation of the Project Risk Management Plan and provide input for the project risk and opportunity register.
  • - Ensure that all work performed on the project is in accordance with Company’s Quality System, the project HSEQ Policy and Project Plan, the Project Quality Plan and relevant procedures and work instructions. Support and contribute to internal and/or external audits.
  • - Ensure consideration of lessons learned and best practices of previous projects and participate in related project events (e.g. lessons learned workshops).
  • Participate in regular project meetings to address ongoing developments and concerns, upcoming events and milestones ? to ensure timely decision making and problem solving.

    [Job Requirements]
  • - Degree in a relevant discipline (accounting, business, mathematics) Master / Bachelors. A technical degree with MBA is also possible.
  • - At least 2 years of professional experience in a role as financial modeler in a leading accountancy or consultancy firm.
  • - Prior job experience in transaction advisory services such as the ones Big 4 have but also M&A or Debt advisory earned in an investment bank or an investment fund
  • Prior experience in building financial models in MS excel based industry/project specific operating metric, allowing for financial valuation, sensitivity analysis, capital structure analysis, etc.
  • - Excellent MS Excel skills (incl. good proficiency in using pre-defined formula’s, building macro’s, creating charts, etc) and knowledge of basic accounting concepts (incl. DCF, NPV, IRR, etc).
  • - Basic knowledge of the offshore wind energy industry including EPCI project delivery would be a plus.
  • - Strong organizational and planning skills with ability to manage priorities effectively.
  • - The ability and capacity to work independently, to pro-actively identify and resolve problems, and to find optimizations and improvements.
  • - Able to meet deadlines and good resistance to work under (occasional) pressure.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the project team.
  • - Fluent in written, spoken and read English. Korean language skills are viewed as a plus but is no necessity.
  • - Frequent travelling to other locations in Korea where OW has project offices (Ulsan, Incheon, Mokpo).
  • - Working Experience: International experience is a strong plus
  • - Language: must be fluent in English, as he/she will be interacting a lot with sponsor teams.
  • - Certification (not mandatory) : CFA, CPA
