POSITION SUMMARY

ㆍ We are looking for a business development leader to drive sales with our clients in S.Korea working towards Quarterly sales targets, driving revenue pipeline, developing long term strategic partnerships and closing sales. 


ㆍ The role is within our Asia Agency & Advertiser Audience Measurement team. This sales group focuses on business development with our Media agency partners, including creative agencies and developing our Advertiser relationships and partnerships.


ㆍ The successful candidate will be a senior member of Nielsen’s S.Korea Advertiser & Agency team responsible for supporting the Sales revenue of this key vertical reporting to the Director, Advertisers & Agencies, Audience Measurement S.Korea.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

 Drive sales results by championing a client-first sales mindset and a disciplined sales process

ㆍ Drive and champion a sales mindset within the organization focused on weekly progression to a quarterly and annual sales target.

ㆍ Building mid-and long-term business development strategy plans and empowering team members to achieve sales goals.

ㆍ As a business development leader of the sales team and a representative of Nielsen, build and maintain strong relationships with clients. Furthermore, to become a client’s business partner, aggressively, suggest solutions which fulfill the client’s needs.


Activate Account Strategies / Solution-based sales strategy management

ㆍ Drive and deliver strategic planning for key accounts, achieve client-based sales targets.

ㆍ Be the voice of the client and input into our product roadmap 

ㆍ Collaborate with other partners in the industry for win-win outcomes with clients 


Drive Sales Processes / Cadence 

ㆍ Ongoing pipeline management/ sales forecasts 

ㆍ Internal (Finance/ Region/ Global) Stakeholder management 

ㆍ Achieve solution-based targets, according to solutions 


Brand Ambassador for the Nielsen Brand 

ㆍ Be part of senior Top-to-top sales meetings 

ㆍ Represent the Nielsen brand within the industry 

ㆍ Drive marketing, roll-out strategy for new product introductions to the industry 

KEY STAKEHOLDERS & INTERFACE

Internal
Working as part of a 3 person team in South Korea and part of a wider team of ~15 Commercial colleagues across Agency & Advertisers, Asia to drive our Sales strategy across the Region.
Engagement with internal finance and revenue controller teams to ensure revenue is correctly recognised each week.

External
This role is an external facing sales role focused on daily engagement with our Agency & Advertisers clients.
This will involve gaining meetings with C-Suite executives at our clients to build sustainable relationships and to understand their business issues.
Working on a daily basis with Insights, Measurement, Data Partnerships and Sales team contacts at our clients to develop and close sales opportunities.
Regular engagement with the clients of our Agency & Advertiser clients to provide Research & Measurement expertise and to ensure measurement projects proceed.
Engagement with Industry bodies in S.Korea to promote Media Measurement best practice.


EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS

Strong business development and client growth skills with a proven sales record.
10+ years of experience in solution sales and have high sales skills.
Prior experience working with large advertisers in S.Korea with industry contacts at both Agencies and Advertisers.

COMPETENCIES & SKILLS

High communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset to work well with others;
Ability and confidence to communicate and develop relationships with C-Suite executives
Well organized with the ability to plan and prioritize;
Meticulous with strong attention to detail;
Use of established CRM tools - Salesforce a must, other a plus: Linkedin Sales Navigator and SalesLoft.
Google Suite Applications(Preferable) ? GMail, Google Doc, Google Slides, etc.

PREFERRED 

Advanced knowledge and understanding of advertising and marketing and the media industry.
Basic knowledge and understanding of marketing research.
Experience at ad network or ad-tech firms like DSP, TV or related fields.
Strong network in marketing, digital, media industries.
Experience in leading a team.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS /

 MEASURES 

Performance will be measured primarily on delivery of Revenue on Hand versus 

Quarterly Sales Targets.

Approach to building a Revenue pipeline and conversion plan will also be assessed.

Collaboration and partnership with peers across the Agency & Advertisers Asia team.
