The Role 

This is an exciting opportunity to spearhead customer acquisition and engagement initiatives for our largest market in Asia to support VIPKid’s growth momentum in the region. The ideal candidate is experienced in managing marketing teams across different languages and cultural backgrounds, expert in driving lead generation across different marketing channels for fast growth consumer service company, and intimately understands leading marketing platforms.  


Responsibilities

  • Be the player coach for the Korea marketing team: directly own the performance marketing execution while leading the end to end marketing initiatives to efficiently drive high volume acquisition. 

  • Ensure compelling in country messaging and customer engagement to build the brand while fueling the acquisition based growth.

  • Own the marketing strategy; including social media strategy, content strategy and customer engagement strategy for the korean market.

  • Become the single point of accountability for key marketing metrics such as; CAC, CPL/CPA, conversion rates, LTV and renew rate. 

  • Work with HQ product and engineering team to continuously improve site engagement and conversion. 

  • Attend any marketing events when required.

  • Any other ad-hoc duties as required.


Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of working experience in a digital marketing role, at least 2 years of leadership role, and 2 years of hands on performance marketing execution experience (in house, not through agency). 

  • BIlingual speaker of English and Korean. 

  • Experience in the education industry will be a big plus.

  • Expertise with design tools, A/B testing tools, data analytics tools and ads platforms

  • High energy, passion, and deeply empathetic of the customer.

  • Intimate understanding of Korea digital marketing and user engagement ecosystem; across owned, earned and paid media. 

  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to work fast and smart independently.


Preferred Qualifications

  • design and messaging experience

  • Creative writing experience (journalism, copywriting)

  • Expertise with data analytics and measurement tools (Google Analytics, Google Data Studio)

  • HTML and Google Tag Manager experience
