A Brief Overview

Director, Product Development is expected to lead the business operations for the company products, especially hair appliances and hair accessories, research and analyze the current market trends, and communicate and manage with various vendors. S/he will be responsible for creating and revamping current/future product lines, which includes managing the product throughout the product lifestyle: gathering, prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining product vision, and working closely with vendors to deliver winning products. This position will work with various different teams to implement strategic planning and display, and to ensure that revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.

What you will do

- Manage new product development and product management

- Manage production plans by scheduling, establishing priorities, monitoring progress and revising schedules.

- Manage pricing to achieve the best balance between increased profit margins and increased sales.

- Product Launches

- Oversees key projects, processes, and performance reports, data, and analysis.

- Upgrades current products by correcting design deficiencies; matching manufacturing requirements; and 

    satisfying special customer requirements.

- Organizes research and development projects by defining project purpose and scope; establishing standards 

   and protocols; scheduling and allocating resources.

- Completes research and development projects by monitoring project progress; evaluating milestone 

   conclusions and assumptions; preparing results and conclusions; and recommending management actions.

Qualifications

- Bachelor of Science (B.S) is required and Master of Science (M.S) Preferred

- At least 15+ years of Product Development and Managing (Beauty device and appliance) Preferred

- 15+ years of senior product management role building and leading a product team, with a demonstrated track 

   record of successful outcomes.

- Strong strategic ability to think creatively and demonstrate business acumen. Successful track record of 

   launching and managing product lines. Strong relationship-building skills, with leadership experience across 

   the organization and partners

- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills (High proficiency)

- Stay knowledgeable of machine component advancements and competitor design trends apply latest 

   technology to new and existing designs where appropriate to stay current and innovative

- Excellent understanding of the industry landscape (competitors and partners)

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills: ability to communicate technology strategy and 

   architecture approach to engineers, executives, and customers proficiency in conflict management, 

  negotiation, and presentation/demonstration
