Responsibilities ㆍPlan and supervise all pre-assembly activities of the main offshore WTG components including activities such as barge loadouts, heavy lifting, assembly of tower sections and nacelles, component handling and preservation, operation method reviews, mechanical and electrical completion works, installation and termination of cables inside the towers, and preparation of offshore wind components for load-out to the feeder barge ㆍOrganize and coordinate the pre-assembly team, including management of subcontractors ㆍMonitor operations performed by subcontractors on WTG components during Storage, Preservation, Pre-assembly and Loadout. ㆍEngage the pre-assembly team in continuous improvement ㆍEnsure close communication and alignment with the Project Manager ㆍEnsure pre-assembly activities completed in time to meet internal targets and key loadout dates ㆍEnsure effective HSE and Quality management within the pre-assembly site ㆍMonitor project progress, budget and performance ㆍEnsure compliance to the contract within the Pre-assembly scope ㆍFinalize and comply with the Pre-assembly Method Statement ㆍEffectively resolve internal issues to ensure the project is not affected ㆍNotify of incidents and accidents according to HSE procedures
Qualifications ㆍMinimum 10 years construction management experience, e.g. in a related energy, industrial or manufacturing setting. ㆍExperience supervising a team of employees to safely carry out work on complex construction projects ㆍExperience working with labor union workforce ㆍTechnical background, electrical, mechanical, or rotating heavy equipment; knowledge of technical drawings and schematics preferred. Ability to understand and utilize technical language. ㆍValid driver`s license, passport, and ability to travel as needed to meet business outcomes ㆍSkilled familiarity with power generation language and key terminology ㆍProven performance in building and developing motivated teams while achieving results through others by coaching, mentoring and target setting ㆍKnowledge & understanding of heavy lifting activities and associated EHS requirements ㆍSkilled experience managing Mechanical & Electrical activities ㆍFamiliar with OSHA and standard site safety regulations ㆍProven experience with subcontractor management ㆍDemonstrated ability to set and handle large budgets and resources ㆍProfessional commercial and contractual understanding and understanding of financial impacts of decisions with respect to project budgets ㆍAbility to build and maintain professional customer relationships and effectively negotiate with customers to resolve disputes and promote win-win solutions ㆍEffective change and conflict management. ㆍProven decision-making skills with balanced risk taking ㆍFunction effectively in a time-sensitive setting in environments ㆍExperience in working effectively with work groups across a global organization ㆍAdvanced computer skills (MS Office) mandatory, MS Office - Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Knowledge of Planning software (Primavera Project Management or M Project). Experienced with. SAP and Salesforce. ㆍBachelor`s degree in civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering, construction or project management or equivalent ㆍProfessional English communications skills (verbal, active listening, written, meeting management, presentation)
