Vestas Global Procurement is responsible for all strategic procurement activities within Vestas, including negotiations, contract management, cost out initiatives, leading cross functional teams, strategy development, and supplier relationship management.

The position as senior purchaser in Indirect Material Procurement APAC NEA team will cover Korea and Japan region. And it will give you a great opportunity to develop your procurement profile and join a team of experienced strategic purchasers, commodity leads and specialists. The position is located in Seoul, Korea.

Senior Purchaser (41905)

Responsibilities 

ㆍLead purchasing indirect commodity i.e. business service, factory MRO, CAPEX and tools for business and manufacturing operation of Vestas in Korea and Japan.

ㆍManage the procurement related activities in the cross functional team and secure alignment with relevant stakeholders in relation to e.g., project planning, costing, and supplier risk and performance management.

ㆍSupplier selection, qualification, negotiation and contracting and supplier relationship management, including supplier account plans, and performance management.

ㆍSupplier consolidation to ensure supply chain optimization based on total landed cost, strategy and roadmap development with cross function team.

ㆍDeliver the KPIs: EBIT, continuous cost out initiatives technically and commercially through the whole value chain, PPV etc.


Qualifications 

ㆍBachelor`s degree with min 8-10 years of working experience within similar role and manufacturing industry

  1. ㆍIn-depth knowledge and exposure to strategic procurement or a degree in either business or engineering
  2. ㆍProven record of significant stakeholder management skills incl. experience with communication on executive level
  3. ㆍGood with Microsoft Office (Word/PowerPoint/Excel) (required) and SAP
  4. ㆍProfessional communication skills including Korean, English, Japanese.

ㆍFamiliar with supply market of business service, factory MRO, CAPEX and tools in Korea and Japan.

ㆍHave the ability to interact with individuals, groups and target audiences including being able to effectively present, receive and understand information in a respectful and concise manner.

ㆍHave stakeholder communication skills, as well as the ability to identify and involve business stakeholders and navigate through competing agendas.
