■ Perform as a project procurement manager: PPS, PPP preparation, task
assign to PPTs,
Organize meeting with project team and stakeholders ■ Perform and lead purchasing activities like inquiry preparation, offer
evaluation, bid tabulation, purchase order preparation and issue. ■ Regular update of purchasing tools & systems (i.e. SAP-MM, SRM,
etc.) ■ Identify and develop new vendors within APAC region as a part of
strategic procurement organization. ■ Establish and administer vendor and cost database. ■ Perform final price negotiations in cooperation with PPM taking into
account the interest of the project including cost, quality and schedule. ■ Coordinate operative tasks of the material group. ■ Provide intimate knowledge of cost structure of components within
material group / purchasing team. ■ Perform market analysis. ■ Perform reporting on KPIs, market trends and supplier performance. ■ Clarify and define priorities for Inquiries & PO`s. ■ Issue and negotiate claims due to nonconformities with vendors. ■ Prepare and lead close-out of PO. ■ Identify critical items and vendors and work out expediting (INEX) plan
/ expediting frequency accordingly. ■ Prepare vendor progress report formats, if applicable. ■ Work out catch up plans / alternates with vendors to ensure timely
delivery. ■ Work out solutions to any problem affecting the vendor progress. ■ Perform periodically material coverage analysis together with the
INEX-Coordinator. ■ Participate in supplier ratings.
Proposal work:
○Assign as an initial PPM and support proposal team ○ Independent preparation of input for proposals for items of high/medium
complexity. Representation of the interest/ interfaces: ○ Responsible for assigned local project as a PPM ○ Responsible for response to global inquiries. ○ Maintain vendor relations. ○ Contact point to GPS for his area of responsibility. ○ Reporting vendor progress to PPM/Projects and inform PPM in particular
where contractual delivery date might be jeopardized. ○ Plan and execute desk as well as field expediting as required. ○ Align vendor deliveries according to project needs / PO requirements. ○ Co-ordinate between inspection / engineering and vendors to resolve
issues.
Leading: ○ Leading the procurement staffs for assigned local projects ○ Leading a team of buyers in material group (if available) and conduct
regular team meetings. ○ Lead / Co-Co-ordinate between various desk / field expeditors within the
project. Guiding/ training: ○ Guiding and education of trainees. ○ Conduct regular Lessons learnt & Team meetings.
Work instructions / workflows:
○ Involvement in preparation of various work instructions. ○ Ensure implementation of related strategies and departmental processes /
procedures within the purchasing and expediting team/group.
