Position level and Salary: Locally Engaged 4 level with a salary of KRW 4,291,417 per month

Employment period: This is a temporary position available from February 2021 to September 2021

                                    There will be 3-month probation period

Requirements

Applications must include:

·  Completed Embassy application form (첨부된 자사양식 - 대사관 지원서 미제출시 접수되지 않습니다)

·  A written Statement (no longer than two typed pages) directly addressing the applicant’s abilities and claims against the position requirements

Other Requirements

The successful applicant will be required to provide a police security clearance certificate and undergo a medical examination to

determine fitness for duty.


Key Responsibilities

·  Manage the Australian Embassy Seoul’s Facebook and Instagram presence, website, and promote social media awareness of Australia

·  Manage daily media round-up and external contracts, and assist with translation as required

·  Plan, coordinate and implement public diplomacy (PD) projects and events in line with PD objectives

·  Function as one of the Embassy’s Photographers, including managing the photo library and digital assets

·  Function as Embassy videographer, including video editing

·  Respond to public enquiries received by email, phone and SNS and convey messages to relevant Embassy officers

·  Assist with media and issues management

·  Provide assistance and logistical support during high level visits to Korea

·  Other duties as directed


Position Requirements

Competencies

·  A high level of fluency in spoken and written Korean and English, and the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with government, media and the public

·  Minimum experience of 3-5 years in PR, including social media, media and events

·  Ability to organise and prioritise workloads and other resources to complete given projects in a timely manner and on budget; and to work effectively under pressure

·  High-level initiative and ability to contribute positively to decision making within a small team

Special Requirements

It is highly desirable that applicants have the following:

·  Experience and good knowledge of Australia

·  Video editing skills
