Job Summary

The Ethics & Compliance Specialist will work closely with the Sales Manager to implement the strategic goals set for the market, and to build partnership and trust with distributors through the administration and enforcement of the Young Living Member’s Agreement and Policies and Procedures. Additional duties include conducting various investigations related to distributor activity for the purpose of detecting and resolving improper business building activity.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

? Follow the Standard Operating Procedures to complete investigations by looking into possible major policy and/or procedure violations by distributors.

? Compile case summaries to be submitted to Compliance Committee for major policy violations.

? Monitor internet websites for illegitimate sales of Young Living products, illegal advertising practices, and fraudulent account orders.

? Recommend to management appropriate fines, penalties, sanctions, holds, or cancellations of distributor accounts based on policy violations.

? Work closely with the Compliance Audit Team to complete rank advancement audits, retail sales audits, and online sales audits.

? Field phone call inquiries from distributors regarding policy or related questions.

? Complete ad hoc audit reports using internal business systems.

? Formally train Member’s Service Representatives and distributors on the Policies and Procedures via member trainings, leadership summits, conference calls, webinars, etc.

? Review submitted distributors advertising proposals for manager approval.

? Review and approve distributor account transfers, successions, placement and volume changes.

? Prepare communications to distributors regarding policy violation investigations and actions being taken.

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

·       Problem identification, analysis and resolution skills

·       Strong attention to detail

·       Ability to understand legal writing

·       Ability to communicate complicated concepts clearly and effectively in writing

·       Experience developing and implementing record keeping procedures

·       Experience managing projects preferred

·       Supplier performance or relationship management experience preferred

·       Communication and influencing skills, especially when requiring colleagues to hand over records or to use the systems correctly

·       Confidence with using bespoke and standard databases, software and operating systems

 

Education and Experience

1.       At least  1 years’ experience in compliance related fields preferably in MLM industry

2.       B.A in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field and/or at least 5 years of equivalent experience required.

·       Employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time and may be required to talk and listen to employees and/customers

·       Employee is occasionally required to stand for long periods of time

·       Employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

 

Work Environment

·       Employee may work in an office setting. The individual must be able to tolerate the scent of essential oils worn or diffused

·       Employee may work in Warehouse environment, needing to wear sweatshirt or specific OSHA safety gear

·       Employee may work in Farm environment and in colder temperatures, needing to wear warm clothing and applicable OSHA safety gear

 

Safety Requirements

·       Employee is required to understand proper safety procedures before operating any equipment

·       Employee may be required to be certified to use equipment

·       Employee may be required to wear appropriate OSHA safety gear
